10 years ago most faculty
at the University of the Humanities Ulaanbaatar who were engaged in
secondary language education were teaching Russian. Today they are
teaching English. English is the most popular choice of second language
instruction
in Mongolian schools. However, resources for such
instruction are limited and books for student purchase expensive. One of
the immediate needs is a class set of simple English language readers
for instruction in entry level and intermediate courses.
Teachers Across Borders is seeking $400 dollars to purchase a class set
of The Old Man and the Sea. Other resources are needed to help build the
library of readers for English language instruction and practice.
Please make your generous donation to this
project.
